Most of my time these days is consumed by work and World of Warcraft (some might call that work too) so blog entries have been less than frequent as of late. Finding the time to right entries longer than a few sentences is hard since you could well be killing a dragon with 40 other people instead.
I have also been playing on my Nintendo DS Lite and occasionally on my Gamecube, aswell as watching various TV shows while trying to fit a bit of programming in and weekly board game sessions. I have more games than I can count for my DS now, just finding the time to play them all fully can be hard, it kind of annoys me I sometimes never finish a game, but I hope to get around to completing them eventually (most recently completed the New Super Mario Bros. and Phoenix Wright, both excellent games).
Last night I attended the weekly game night hosted by the Pines ( Chris & Katie [the adults], C & Ruby [the kids], Wobbly & Anders [the cats] ) which is always fun. First we played a game of Puerto Rico, we are all experts at this game now so it goes pretty smoothly and is still very enjoyable, next we played Fist of Dragonstones, a bidding game with various character cards you need to win in order to obtain 3 points (to win the game). I quite liked this game though since it was my first time playing I wasn't sure what a good strategy was, and it's fun to try and second guess your opponents bidding habits to get the cards you need and deny your opponent the ones they need.
As always we were provided with excellent home made snacks and the company of some very friendly cats. The only problem with these game nights is that they occur quite late (often till after 1am) but despite that it is always an enjoyable evening.
I also saw X-men 3 earlier this week, which I thought was awesome. The perfect continuation of the previous story, more X-men, more cool fight scenes and more use of their special powers than ever before. I very much enjoyed it, despite hearing that it wasn't as good as the 2nd movie. They have managed to set up the cool x-men universe quite well on the big screen, much better than I would have thought it could have been done.
The film also had an interesting cast, the actors were very well chosen for their roles, such as Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) as Beast, which was unexpected but was a perfect choice. I think it would be a shame to waste such a well made universe by not continuing with more stories in movie form but I guess its all depends on how much money it makes rather than if it deserves more sequels.
From now on I shall attempt to at least make some sort of post once a week, I enjoy writing about stuff I have done, perhaps I might even mention more specific achievments in World of Warcraft since that is what I mostly am doing. I might get back into making some more SG-0 comics soon but that takes even more time than simply writing a blog entry!
Yes, please post more. I'll be watching.
More comics! :)
I really liked X-men 3, by far the best of the three IMO. Cool to finally see more of the special powers being used, that's been of the things I've been missing from the first two movies.
Talking about WoW. Yesterday we had the most amazing Scholo raid ever:
3 Epics and 1 Epic Tailoring receipe dropped in 1 run. And I wanted to go to Strath instead... Haha =)
I finished my New Mario Brothers a few days ago as well. No I can't decide what to do. Try to complete it by unlocking every level and maybe even getting every coin? What to do what to do.
X-Men 3? hmmm I liked the Bryan Singer ones better... Superman is back btw =)
Come on Allan ! !! !
Btw I have glx going on my X40. Perhaps a game of quake3?
Damn, I've lost my quake3 serial. Also whatever happened to the Starcraft serial?
Starcraft bundle costs like 40USD. 40USD for just a goddam key for 5+ year old game.
Starcraft is definitely worth 40USD even now imo, but you should be able to get it with the expansion cheaper than that.
As for Quake 3, I haven't played that in a long time and I will make some more blog posts later this week. Some people are so impatient!
